Flow charts of journeys

These overviews are meant to be bite-size to be readily understood in few minutes. If you need further explanations, please refer to the respective pages.

This is the flow of the payer's journey. They will encounter the form on various channels like links, emails, QR codes and websites.

The payer then fills in the form and proceeds to checkout with different payment methods like cards (local/foreign, debit/credit), PayNow, Apple/Google Pay.

Upon successful payment, they will receive an email directly to their inbox with the proof of payment. They may also choose to download at the success page.

In rare occasions, they might want a refund which is possible for you to issue.

To create a form, a form creator must login to FormSG using an email address with domains whitelisted (e.g. @open.gov.sg) with One-time password.

The form admin can then create a Storage mode form, download the secret key (like a password) to create a blank slate for their form.

To create a payment field, they must first connect to Stripe (payment provider) in the settings (see testing platform section on how to try without creating an account).

After connection, the form creator can create the payment field and other fields.

After all that is done, they may publish the form!

To find out more, go to creating payment field.

The form collaborators may go to the Results page of their form to view successful payments. Here, only payments that have been successfully transacted at checkout page will be recorded. I.e. If a payer decides not to pay at checkout, it will not be recorded in FormSG even if they have filled in the rest of the form.

The dashboard will show an overview of the successful payments. The payout date would be reflected once the money reaches bank account. Collaborators may view and search for records in the dashboard. They may also export the results to spreadsheet.

This is the payment flow in FormSG before money reaches the agency bank account.

Stripe will process all transactions in a given day and payout depending on PayNow (1 business day) or cards (3 business days) to the agency's bank account. These will be reflected in FormSG.
